Don't Let Gum Disease Progress: Contact Us About Periodontics Therapy.
At World Dental Specialities, we believe in a holistic approach. So, we strive to take care of not only your teeth but also your gums.
Periodontal therapy includes treatment of all the structures that support and surround the tooth. This mainly includes the gums and surrounding bone. If you experience bleeding gums, bad breath, receding gums, swelling in the gums or loose moving teeth, periodontal therapy is the solution for you.
The first phase of periodontal therapy comprises of scaling and polishing where all the plaque and calculus is removed from the teeth, around implants and gums. In some cases, a deep, sub gingival cleaning along with root planing maybe done under local anaesthesia. Both these are performed with our ultrasonic scalers in- built in our state-of-the-art dental chairs, in combination with manual scalers and curettes which enable reduction of plaque and pathogens causing gum inflammation. Our manual scalers and curettes are from HuFriedy, a global leader in dental instrument manufacturing. This in turn prevents bleeding, bad breath and arrests periodontal disease. Polishing done with a prophylaxis paste, brushes, rubber cups, and polishing disks, helps to smoothen out the rough and uneven enamel surfaces, progressively delaying the development of stains.
Proceeding this, you will be taught the correct brushing and flossing techniques and recommended scientific oral hygiene products so that you are able to maintain periodontal health even at home.
For the surgical phase, we provide pain free removal of hopeless teeth and placement of implants.

We also perform advanced periodontal procedures such as bone and soft tissue augmentation of defects, socket preservation, direct and indirect sinus augmentation using our contemporary equipment and autografts as well as synthetic bio substitutes.
Among the bone grafts, we use autografts (your own bone particles obtained during the procedure) as well as scientifically documented, processed bone grafting materials to enable new bone growth. These materials include the Geistlich Bio-Oss® which is a leading bone substitute in regenerative dentistry, globally. Apart from the boxed granules, it is available in various forms including the Bio-Oss Pen® which is a prefilled syringe containing Bio-Oss® granules, enabling precise graft delivery in the surgical site and the Geistlich Bio-Oss® Collagen which is enriched with 10% porcine collagen, making it easily modelled and quicker to apply. Apart from this we also use OSSIX™ Bone which is a sponge-like ossifying block for vital bone formation, powered by clinically proven GLYMATRIX® technology.
The Geistlich Bio-Gide®, a collagen membrane for reliable bone regeneration and optimal tissue integration and the ‘OSSIX® Volumax’ a volumizing, ossifying collagen scaffold from Datum Dental, Dentsply Sirona are widely used in combination with the bone substitutes.
The Geistlich Fibro-Gide, ® indicated for soft tissue defects and the Geistlich Mucograft, ® indicated for gaining keratinized tissue around teeth and implants and recession coverage are excellent alternatives for soft tissue grafts which need to be harvested from the palate. These matrices eliminate the need for additional harvest site, reducing the chair time, morbidity, pain and discomfort while providing therapeutic solutions in oral soft-tissue regeneration.

These grafting procedures make it possible for us to treat lost or missing teeth, delivering fixed prosthesis supported by implants, increase the longevity of the implants and to maintain the prosthesis as well as gums in a healthy state.
Further, we also carry out treatment of enlarged, swollen gums and aesthetic procedures such as crown lengthening and pigment removal from gums (treatment of dark pigmented gums) effortlessly with almost no bleeding and absolute sterile conditions using our sophisticated and highly versatile soft tissue diode laser, SiroLaser Blue, Dentsply Sirona. With more than 20 different indications in soft tissue surgery, implantology and even endodontics, this laser therapy offers several important advantages apart from minimal bleeding and sterilisation control.
These include,
All procedures are performed microsurgically, using microsurgical instruments and sutures, under magnification. This enhances accuracy and ensures precise field of operation thus further decreasing tissue trauma and ensures faster and better healing.
Lastly and most importantly, we recommended you to visit us every three to six months for timely periodontal maintenance, reassessment of plaque and calculus deposition ensuring good bone, implant and surrounding tissue health.
